"The starry night"

Today, I can choose the thing about I'm will write.

In this time, I will talk you about a painting that I like so much: one of the paintings more famous of Van Gogh, "The starry night", painted after a grave and unexpected attack psychiatric, dominate by horrible hallucinations and suicides tendencies, one year before his death.

In that periode, he started to paint  looking from a window that had protection (bars) for his security.
In the canvas, we can distinguish curve and long lines, and uneven and sharp traces, faithful representatives of the restlessness and tension that it was probably crossing Van Gogh, native distresses of the Dutchman.

In addition, his brushstrokes have something characteristic: they are marked and forts, as if he have had the neecesity to paint, as if the painting had been realized in the deepest ecstasy, in the purest longing of freedom.

I think that Van Gogh used his anguish of a positive form: he choose to paint go beyond the bars of his window, he choose to represent the liberty that, though it was something stormy, he knows that was there, outside.

This painting transmit me a lot of emotions: anguish, because of his stormy swirls, or the feeling of want freedom. For this, I share it with you, because: what sensation cause you "The starry night"?
